LOS ALAMITOS, CA—DECEMBER 3, 2021—Ed Allred’s Nomadic and Dunn Ranch’s Really First Down will complete this year’s Champion of Champions presumptive field after posting the third and fourth fastest qualifying times in the Z. Wayne Griffin Directors Trials.

The following 10 horses are earmarked to race in the Grade 1, $600,000 Quarter Horse classic at 440 yards on December 11:

• Powerful Favorite (Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship winner & Robert Boniface Los Alamitos Winter Championship winner)
• Cat Daddys Lil Girl (Junos Request Stakes winner)
• Circle City (Vessels Maturity winner)
• You Can Run (Go Man Go Handicap winner)
• Reason To Fly Mv (Mildred Vessels Memorial Handicap winner)
• Flash Bak (Los Alamitos Super Derby winner)
• Candy Blood (1st Division of Z. Wayne Griffin Directors Trial winner)
• Apollitical Pence (2nd Division of Z. Wayne Griffin Directors Trial winner)
• Nomadic (Z. Wayne Griffin 3rd fastest qualifier)
• Really First Down (Z. Wayne Griffin 4th fastest qualifier)

Post positions for the Champion of Champions will be chosen by the connections in order of a random draw during a special show airing on TVG on Wednesday, December 8 at 3 p.m. (Pacific).

Ed Burgart’s morning line for the Champion of Champions will be announced during the show. In addition to the Champion of Champions, post positions to the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity will also be decided on Wednesday.
