LEXINGTON, OK—OCTOBER 27, 2021—Funeral services F. Bert Lamb, 82, of Lexington, Oklahoma, will be held Monday, October 25, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4401 East Maguire Road, Noble, OK 73068.
Viewing will be Sunday, October 24, from 3-5 p.m. at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 127 S. Canadian Ave, Purcell, Okla. 73080. Interment will be at the Noble Cemetery.
Lamb died October 18, in Norman, Oklahoma, from complications due to the COVID-19 virus.
He was born in Salem, Utah, on June 9, 1939, to Farrell Bowen and Opal Craig Lamb.
He married his wife and high school sweetheart, Aleen J. Lamb, of 62 years, December 30, 1958. They had one son, Clayton J. Lamb (Ardath Beers) and four daughters, Marianne, Denise (Kameron Kern), Ranae (David Winterton) and Janice (Duane Spies). Bert has nineteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three sisters, Judith Martin, Debra Anderson (Richard) and Laurie Jenson (Bryan).
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Kameron Kern.
Bert was self-employed most of his life. He worked as a building contractor, owned and managed a Quarter Horse ranch and self-storage units. He recently qualified for an award from the American Quarter Horse Association for 50 consecutive years of breeding and registering Quarter Horses.
Bert was a family man. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and was a man of faith. He was a sealer in the Oklahoma City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
