CLAREMORE, OK—OCTOBER 3, 2021—Grade 1 winner Lynnder 16 continued her assault as the defending champion of the AQHA Distance Challenge Championship(G1) by getting her fourth consecutive win in as many starts this year on Sunday in the $34,315 Q-Racing Video Will Rogers Distaff Challenge(G3) at Will Rogers Downs.
The multiple graded winning daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess has won three consecutive Distaff Challenge regional races in 2021 at Canterbury Park, Ruidoso Downs and now Will Rogers Downs this season.
Trainer Jason Olmstead conditions he Oklahoma-bred filly for owners Tom Maher and Richard Tobin. Bred by Jim and Marilyn Helzer, from the Corona Cartel mare Tinys Corona Queen, Lynnder 16 has compiled a (28) 15-3-3 record and the $17,158 Distaff winner's purse today boosted her bankroll to nearly $751,000.
Lynnder 16 is expected to defend her 2020 title as the winner of the Grade 1 Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge Championship in her next start, the 2021 $100,000-est. Q-Racing Video Distaff Challenge Championship(G1) to be contested October 23rd during the Bank of America Challenge Championships at The Downs at Albuquerque.
Dustin Cox's Oklahoma homebred First Lucy Lark earned $7,378 for second. Troy Carter trains the Im A Fancy Pyc 3-year-old out of First Ginlark by My First Moon. Ruben Castro has the riding call aboard the multiple graded-placed earner of $82,279.
Billy Peterson, Scott Bryant and Joe Dee Brooks Fg Jess Dash finished 1-˝ lengths back to pick up $3,775 for third. Shawna Manriquez trains the Volcom 3-year-old out of Jess Walking Thru by Walk Thru Fire. Agustin Silva had riding call on the graded stakes-placed earner of $12,779.
Mae Capone, Moon Baby Moon and Features Finest Kind completed the field.
