Grade 1 Winner and Sire Bodacious Dash To A&A Ranch For 2022

ANTHONY, NM—SEPTEMBER 10, 2021—Bodacious Dash SI 101, a Grade 1 winning and siring son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash owned by Bobby Simmons, will stand the 2022 breeding season at A & A Ranch in Anthony, New Mexico. His 2022 fee has been set at $3,000, however breeders can take advantage of a $500 discount if they pay the fee in full by December 31, 2021.

Bred by Bob and Jerry Gaston and raced by Johnny Trotter, Grade 1 winner Bodacious Dash won or placed in 13 of 16 career starts while earning $756,496 in two seasons at the track.

He won the Grade 1 Texas Classic Futurity, was second in the Rainbow Derby(G1) and third in the Championship at Sunland Park(G1). The sorrel stallion also qualified for the Rainbow Futurity(G1), Dash For Cash Futurity(G1) and John Deere Stakes.

From seven crops to race, Bodacious Dash has sired 79 winners, 15 stakes horses, earners of $2.1 million with average earnings per starter of more than $12,400.

His top performers include Sky Bo Dash SI 103 (4 wins to 4, $242,072 Remington Championship Challenge-G2, All American Futurity(G1) finalist, etc.), Suenos Dineros SI 101 (3 wins to 4, $157,123 West Texas Futurity-G2, etc.), Bos Time Machine SI101 (7 wins to 5, $154,223, Brad McKinzie Winter Championship-G1, etc.), Shez Bodacious SI 92 (2 wins to 3, $89,453, Heartland Futurity, etc.), Em Bodacious Chick SI 97 (winner, $73,830 Ruidoso Juvenile S., etc.), etc.

It the just completed Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Yearling Sale, Bodacious Dash sired the 4th high-seller, Hip 221 Badacious who sold for $68,000. Bodacious Dash was the 5th leading sale sire (by average with 2 or more sold), with five yearlings averaging $21,500, move than seven-times his stud fee.

Bodacious Dash's sire, world champion First Down Dash SI 105 ($857,256), is the all-time leading sire of everything with 258 stakes winners, 36 champions and earners of more than $89 million. Known as a "Sire of Sires", his top performers include 4-time AQHA Racing Champion Ocean Runaway SI 105 ($1,642,498, Champion of Champions-G1, etc. ), 5-time AQHA Racing Champion Corona Cash SI 101 ($1,542,880, All American Futurity-G1, etc.), 3-time AQHA Racing Champion Corona Kool SI 104 ($1,296,797, Los Alamitos Million Futurity-G1, etc.), two-time champion and world champion sire FDD Dynasty SI 102 ($1,173,001, Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1, etc.), etc.
