The 330-yard event was restricted to Colorado-bred 2-year-olds. Flare For Royalty’s final time of 16.904 earned him a 98 speed index.
Under jockey James Flores, Flare For Royalty won three-quarters. Jose Barron trains for owner Hugo Barron-Sierra. Jerry and Shanon Fizer bred the gelding out of Royalclassic Express, by A Classic Dash.
