Astranomical Is Las Damas Winner After DQ Of Kiss Thru Fire

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—NOVEMBER 20, 2021—M.C. Stucks’ Astranomical was moved up from second to first in the Grade 2, $50,000 Las Damas Handicap following the disqualification of multiple stakes winner Kiss Thru Fire from first place after drifting in late to bother her outside rivals on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

Kiss Thru Fire was placed seventh as a result of the disqualification.

With her odds of 24-1, Astranomical returned her backers a pretty penny for the win while scoring her second stakes win. The Dominyun filly won the Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge earlier this year. She also finished third in the Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby last year.
