Outta Debut Holds Sway In $ 30,000 Mike Hastings Memorial Stakes Victory

PHOENIX, AZ—DECEMBER 8, 2021—Outta Debut (17-1) broke on top then held sway to get her first career stakes win on Wednesday when she defeated First Lady Perry by one-length in the $ 30,000 Mike Hastings Memorial Stakes at Turf Paradise.

Under jockey Luis Valenzuela Outta Debut completed the 350 yards in :17.468 seconds, equaling a 106 speed index. It was the third win in 17 starts for the daughter of champion sire First Moonflash. She rewarded backers with a $35.40 win payoff, $17.80 to place and $10.00 to show. >

Conditioned by owner-trainer Mario Dominguez, the New Mexico-bred entered the Mike Hasting off a second-place effort in the First Moonflash Stakes(RG2) on September 5th at Albuquerque. Bred by Mike Abraham, from the Mr Jess Perry mare Jesstifiable Debt, Outta Debt picked up $17,670 to increase her bankroll to $78,834.

Runner-up First Lady Perry earned $5,700 to bring her bankroll to over $90,000. John Allred trains the multiple stakes winning daughter of Mr Jess Perry for owner Scott McDaniel. Kevin Carbajal had the riding call on the Utah-bred 5-year-old out of First Lady Amber by Heza Fast Man. McColee Land & Livestock LLC is the breeder.

Post time favorite Valentin Jqm, a California-bred son of Separatist, finished a neck back in third for owner Juan Cesar Torres-Casas. Trainer Amy Nelson named jockey Mark Jasso to ride the 4-year-old gelding out of Corona Perfection by Corona Cartel. Pedro Barbizan Santiago Leite is the breeder.

Tommy Diamond, Be Quiet, Sizzlin Chick, Senor Frogs, Scooter Cartel, Chicksfabulouscorona and Gonnabefirst completed the field.
